Trip Brief

Ring in 2010 with Tannenbaum in Meribel! Meribel is at the hub of France’s Three Valleys ski and snowboard domain, along with Courchevel and Val Thorens. These three resorts make up the world’s largest skiing and snowboarding linked lift system. A chalet-style village, Meribel is a popular British vacation spot and English can be more commonly heard than French on the slopes and in the bars.

With 200 lifts and 600 km of slope, as well as endless off-slope possibilities, the area offers something for every level of skier and boarder. The modern, constantly improved lift system means little waiting and rapid access to all slopes, transporting up to 260,000 skiers and boarders hourly. Meribel offers 15 high-capacity gondola lifts, 19 chair lifts, 14 drag lifts, 8 telebabies and one moving walk way.

After a hard day of skiing or snowboarding, grab a drink at the Rond Point on the mountain. It’s packed starting at 4pm offering live music and lots of dancing. Down in the center of Meribel, there are several bars to choose from, from: Jack’s Bar, which is close to the slopes, to Le Pub, with lots of pool tables but little seating, to the Taverne, which is the hub of the local British community. Options abound!

Bus will depart early Friday morning!
