Trip Brief
Come spend Thanksgiving with us at the foot of the Matterhorn!
This trip provides both skiers and non-skiers an extraordinarily unforgettable experience. You’ll arrive in Zermatt by train from the end-of-the-road hamlet of Täsch. Be prepared for an awe-inspiring mountain setting! Nestled in a tight little valley, with spectacular views, the village is dominated by the startling beauty of the world-renowned Matterhorn. Zermatt has a well-deserved international reputation as one of the best skiing destinations in Europe. Skiers in-the-know generally agree that Zermatt is a must for all serious skiers. Why? Few places can match its combination of excellent, advanced, and intermediate slopes, reliable snow, magnificent scenery, and Alpine charm. The tiny village boasts traditional Swiss architecture and a unique environment free of gasoline-powered cars. Additionally, and possibly most importantly, all three mountains are above 3,100 meters.
When you’re not skiing, make sure to walk the Bahnhofstraße, Zermatt’s main street. Purchase everything from souvenirs or fashionable ski clothes, to expensive jewelry. You can even get your hair done at one of the fine salons! Afterwards, stop for a bite at one of the fantastic restaurants.
The après-ski and nightlife in Zermatt is both lively and varied with nine nightclubs and 35 bars open until 3–4 AM. Two of TSCs favorite meeting places after a day of skiing are the Papperla Pub and the Pipe; both are located in the center of town near the river. If you’re up for some after-dinner partying, Zermatt offers live jazz at the Pink Elephant, the cheapest beers and dancing at Grampi’s Pub, and late night dancing at the T-Bar Disco. If champagne and oysters are more your style, try Elsie’s Place.
In summary, good friends, great snow, incredible scenery, and a juicy turkey with all the trimmings ensure a most memorable holiday. Zermatt is a great way to spend your Thanksgiving!

Breaking News:
•We’ve just learned that the pool and sauna area are being renovated and will not be open during our stay. Therefore we are reducing the trip price by €10 from the original price of €365. If you were looking forward to using the pool or sauna, we would like to suggest the possibility of switching to the Stubai trip without penalty. They have a wonderful pool and sauna there. Check with your trip captains for more information.
